Pakistan is one of only two countries where wild poliovirus is still circulating, and that makes the polio booster a genuine requirement rather than a formality. Proof of it can be asked for when you leave the country.
Hepatitis A, hepatitis B, MMR and typhoid are typically recommended for Pakistan, alongside a polio booster for adults. Japanese encephalitis, rabies, chikungunya, cholera and malaria tablets depend on where you are going and for how long. Speak to a doctor well ahead, as the polio booster needs recording properly for the exit requirement.
At Singapore Women's Clinic, we provide a range of travel vaccinations, preventive medication and travel health advice for solo travellers and families alike.

The information on this page is taken from CDC destination advice for Pakistan and Ministry of Health, Singapore. If you are unsure which of these apply to you, it is best to consult a doctor, who can advise on which vaccines you need based on your destination, your itinerary and your medical history.
Malaria may be present in all areas below 2,500 m, including the cities. About 80 per cent of cases are the vivax type, which is usually less severe than the falciparum type but can come back months after you get home.
Malaria pills, also called malaria prophylaxis, do not stop you being bitten. They work by killing the parasite in your bloodstream before it has a chance to multiply and make you ill, which is why they are taken daily through the trip and for a period after you leave.
At Singapore Women’s Clinic, we provide malaria pills in addition to travel vaccinations. It is best to consult our doctor 4 to 6 weeks before you fly, so that any tablets can be matched to your route and to medicines you already take. A later appointment is still worth making, as the course itself is usually started only 2 days before you arrive.
Whether you need a certificate depends on the countries you pass through or come from. Before you travel, check your full route against the current list of countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission on Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website.
No certificate is needed if you arrive directly from Singapore, or from any country without yellow fever risk.
It is required from age 1 if you arrive from a country with risk, including airport transits of more than 12 hours there.
Singapore requires a yellow fever certificate if you have recently travelled to a country with yellow fever risk. It follows your route, not your destination, so it can apply even when the country you are visiting has no risk.
At Singapore Women’s Clinic, we also provide travel medical kits, curated by our doctors, to help you manage common travel issues such as diarrhoea, motion sickness, and minor injuries. Each kit is compact and cabin-friendly.
No appointment is required. You may walk in to purchase the kit during clinic hours.
What you can expect at every visit, whichever vaccine you need.
Book in the morning and have your vaccination the same day, at any of our clinics.
Get several vaccines in one visit, so you are not making a separate trip for each one.
Receive official documentation at no extra cost, for travel, school or work.
