The High Tatras are the reason most people come to Slovakia, and the walk up to them passes through exactly the forest belt where ticks live. Above the treeline the risk drops away; the approach is where it sits.
Hepatitis A, hepatitis B and MMR are typically recommended for Slovakia. Tick-borne encephalitis and rabies depend on how much time you spend below the treeline. A doctor can advise on the tick-borne vaccine once they know how much walking you plan.
At Singapore Women's Clinic, we provide a range of travel vaccinations, preventive medication and travel health advice for solo travellers and families alike.

The information on this page is taken from CDC destination advice for Slovakia and Ministry of Health, Singapore. If you are unsure which of these apply to you, it is best to consult a doctor, who can advise on which vaccines you need based on your destination, your itinerary and your medical history.
Whether you need a certificate depends on the countries you pass through or come from. Before you travel, check your full route against the current list of countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission on Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website.
No yellow fever certificate is required, whichever country you arrive from.
Singapore requires a yellow fever certificate if you have recently travelled to a country with yellow fever risk. It follows your route, not your destination, so it can apply even when the country you are visiting has no risk.
At Singapore Women’s Clinic, we also provide travel medical kits, curated by our doctors, to help you manage common travel issues such as diarrhoea, motion sickness, and minor injuries. Each kit is compact and cabin-friendly.
No appointment is required. You may walk in to purchase the kit during clinic hours.
What you can expect at every visit, whichever vaccine you need.
Book in the morning and have your vaccination the same day, at any of our clinics.
Get several vaccines in one visit, so you are not making a separate trip for each one.
Receive official documentation at no extra cost, for travel, school or work.
